About Ateliers Mourlot
By the 1930’s in Paris, under Fernand Mourlot, the Ateliers Mourlot became the largest printer of lithographic posters and collaborated with highly recognized artists for more than half a century to produce original lithographic works. These artists included modern masters Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, Joan Miró, Marc Chagall, Fernand Léger, Jean Dubuffet, Henry Moore, and Le Corbusier.
In 1967, the Ateliers Mourlot moved from Paris to a studio on Bank Street, in New York City. Here, the printers worked with contemporary artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Francis Bacon, Roy Lichtenstein, Alexander Calder, Ellsworth Kelly, Alex Katz, and Claes Oldenburg. Although the Paris studio closed in 1999, the Mourlot legacy continues in New York City through Galerie Mourlot at 16 East 79th Street.

They are highly collectible fine art prints as they are designed and created especially for the occasion. 20th century Artists were very aware that these creations had to reach the widest audiences and so spent a lot of their energy and time on their design and quality.
